6 Arrested for Juaso Robbery and Gang Rape

Six persons have been arrested by the Ashanti South Regional Police Command for their suspected involvement in a criminal network linked to robbery and gang rape incidents in Juaso, Ashanti Region.

The arrests were made following an intelligence-led operation on January 8, 2026. The suspects, identified as David Adusah, also known as Vibes; Samuel Amantor, alias Road; Andrew Odei, also called Salinco; Sharif Mohammed, known as Isco; Joseph Addo, alias Moves; and Chidi Arinze, also referred to as Orga Happiness, were found with several items during a search at their residences.

These items included 49 mobile phone covers, a bayonet holder, a green dress resembling a military uniform, and a photograph showing an alleged leader of the group dressed in military-style camouflage. A Toyota RAV4 vehicle believed to have been used in the group’s operations was also retrieved and impounded.

According to the police, the suspects admitted their involvement in the reported crimes during interrogation. They were put before the court on January 12, 2026, and remanded into lawful custody, with their next court appearance scheduled for January 28, 2026, as investigations continue.

The Ghana Police Service has assured the public that investigations are ongoing and all persons found culpable will be dealt with according to the law.
