Samartex Returns to Winning Form with Win Over GoldStars

Samartex secured a 2-0 victory over Bibiani GoldStars at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Sunday, lifting them to 21 points and sixth place in the Ghana Premier League.

Emmanuel Essien opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a well‑placed finish that settled the home side quickly. Ten minutes later, Emmanuel Mamah doubled the lead from the penalty spot after a foul in the area, converting confidently.

The early two‑goal cushion allowed Samartex to control the tempo, limiting GoldStars to half chances while maintaining a solid defensive shape. The team kept possession and pressed high, forcing the visitors into a defensive posture.

In the second half, GoldStars pushed forward but created few clear openings and were unable to reduce the deficit. According to the official match report, the visitors finished with 22 points, sitting fourth in the league, narrowly ahead of the chasing pack.

The win keeps Samartex firmly in the top half of the table and improves their points tally to 21. The club will travel next to face Basake Holy Stars, while Bibiani GoldStars return home for a challenging fixture against Medeama.
