Medeama SC rallied in the second half to defeat Berekum Chelsea 2-1 at T A Park, extending their Ghana Premier League unbeaten run to ten matches.

Chelsea struck first after just twelve minutes when Faisal Shaibu finished a swift move, giving the visitors an early lead. The goal forced Ibrahim Tanko’s side to press aggressively for an equaliser, yet despite several attempts, Medeama went into the break trailing.

During the interval, Tanko made a decisive substitution, bringing on Braye Sulemana for Kelvin Yeboah. The change paid off within ten minutes of the restart when a precise cross from the right found Amo Mensah, who rose superbly to head home the leveller.

With eleven minutes remaining, midfielder Salim Adams produced the moment of the match, unleashing a stunning thirty‑yard strike that sent the home crowd into raptures and secured the dramatic comeback for the Mauve and Yellow.

“We trusted the players we introduced and the belief never wavered,” Ibrahim Tanko said after the final whistle. “The switch at halftime gave us the spark we needed to turn the game around.”

Adams, still beaming, added, “Scoring that goal for my club is a dream; I just wanted to give the fans something to celebrate.”

The victory lifts Medeama to the top of the league table, three points clear of Aduana FC, while Berekum Chelsea slip into the relegation zone.

With the win, Medeama eyes a title challenge as the season heads into its crucial phase, and supporters will be hoping the unbeaten streak continues.
