The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has cautioned applicants in its ongoing recruitment exercise to be wary of misleading information, including fake SMS alerts, circulating on various platforms.
These fraudulent messages falsely indicate that some applicants have progressed to the next stage and require payment to continue. The GIS has emphatically stated these claims are untrue.
In a press release dated December 15, 2025, and signed by Deputy Commissioner of Immigration Maud Mauima Quainoo on behalf of the Public Affairs Department, the GIS urged the public to disregard such messages.
According to the GIS, no official announcement has been made regarding the commencement of the next phase of the recruitment process. The application window remains open until December 19, 2025.
The Service stressed that any request for payment to facilitate advancement in the recruitment is a scam. Applicants are therefore advised to remain vigilant.
To ensure applicants receive legitimate updates, the GIS has outlined official communication channels. Applicants will only be contacted via SMS from the official GIS number, through the designated email address, or by logging into the C-SERP application portal.
“We strongly advise applicants to refrain from engaging with individuals or groups disseminating these fraudulent messages,” the GIS stated. “Rely strictly on official channels for all recruitment updates.”
The official contact details provided by the GIS are:

The GIS is urging the public to report any suspicious activity related to the recruitment exercise to the authorities.
