A church in Alajo, a suburb of Accra, has been inundated by floodwaters following heavy rains, leaving residents trapped inside the building as water levels rose to neck height.
The Ghana National Fire Service confirmed that firefighters are on the ground attempting to reach those trapped, but have been unable to establish contact due to the dangerous conditions.
