Ghana’s Black Galaxies commenced preparations for their international friendly against South Africa with a training session in Soweto on Monday.

The match, slated for Tuesday at the Dobsonville Stadium, will serve as a crucial warm-up for both sides. For Bafana Bafana, it’s part of their build-up to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) which kicks off on December 21 in Morocco.

South Africa are grouped in Group B for the AFCON tournament, alongside Egypt, Angola, and Zimbabwe. The Black Galaxies, on the other hand, are using the friendly to sharpen their skills ahead of the upcoming CHAN qualifiers.

Head coach Kassim Mingle has assembled a 20-man squad for the encounter. The team is eager to test their mettle against a strong South African side.

Kick-off is scheduled for 2:00 pm Ghana time on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. Fans are anticipating an exciting clash between the two nations.
