The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has confirmed that eleven single rooms were destroyed in a major domestic fire at Zaabu Zongo in the Abossey Okai area of Accra.
According to GNFS, the fire was reported at 1128 hours, and a fire tender from the Industrial Area Fire Station arrived on the scene within eleven minutes. Firefighters were later supported by crews from the Dansoman and Accra City Fire Stations.
The combined efforts of the crews brought the fire under control at 1214 hours and fully extinguished it by 1309 hours.
Although eleven single rooms were destroyed, firefighters were able to salvage several adjoining houses, preventing the fire from spreading further and averting more extensive damage.
