Tariq Lamptey Foundation Donates Jerseys to Local School

Sports journalist Fentuo Tahiru Fentuo, in collaboration with the Tariq Lamptey Foundation, has brought smiles to pupils of the Tarsor Islamic Salvation Basic School in the Sissala East Municipality of the Upper West Region with a donation of sports equipment.

The donation, comprising jerseys, socks, and training gear, was presented on Wednesday, December 18, 2025, by family members acting on behalf of the journalist.

This gesture forms part of Fentuo’s consistent efforts to give back to his community. Earlier this year, he extended similar support to his former school, Kanton Senior High School, and the Vamboi community.

Expressing his appreciation, Fentuo lauded the Tariq Lamptey Foundation for their partnership. “I am grateful to the Tariq Lamptey Foundation for coming on board and making this possible,” he stated. “Partnerships like this help us touch more communities and give young people the encouragement they need.”

The pupils of Tarsor Islamic Salvation Basic School were overjoyed with the donation, immediately utilizing the new equipment during their training sessions. They conveyed their heartfelt gratitude for the support, which they say will significantly boost their sporting activities.

The donation is expected to foster a greater interest in sports among the students and contribute to their physical development. Fentuo has indicated plans to continue such initiatives, aiming to empower youth through sports and education.
