President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his confidence in Mr. Samson Deen, reappointing him to the Governing Board of the National Sports Authority (NSA) for another term.
The reappointment, officially communicated through the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, underscores the government’s recognition of Mr. Deen’s impactful leadership and dedication to the advancement of sports in Ghana and on the African continent.
Mr. Deen currently holds the prestigious positions of President of both the African Paralympic Committee and the Ghana Paralympic Committee. His extensive experience in sports governance, coupled with a strong commitment to inclusivity and athlete welfare, were key factors in the decision.
“I am deeply honoured by this reappointment and remain steadfast in my commitment to youth development and good governance within the sporting sector,” Mr. Deen stated.
He further appealed to corporate Ghana to actively collaborate with the government, emphasizing the immense potential of sports to foster national unity and contribute significantly to economic growth. “Partnership with the private sector is crucial to unlocking the full benefits of sports for our nation,” he explained.
