Jospong Group Unveils 2,500-Seat PIWC Trassacco Temple

The Jospong Group of Companies, spearheaded by its Executive Chairman, Elder Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong, and his wife, Dr Mrs Adelaide Siaw Agyepong, has completed and dedicated a modern, state-of-the-art church building in Accra.

The newly inaugurated Pentecost International Worship Centre–Trassacco (PIWC–Trassacco) boasts a 2,500-seat auditorium and will cater to the PIWC and E-Church congregations. The dedication ceremony also saw the handover of a fully furnished mission house for the Resident Minister.

This significant undertaking, according to the Jospong Group, is a testament to their long-held “culture of gratitude to God.” What began as a simple daily devotion in 1995 has blossomed into a profound spiritual tradition, culminating in this architectural landmark.

Recognizing this unique expression of faith, Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah, the immediate past Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, appointed the Group’s first-ever corporate chaplain, a move intended to further embed spiritual values within the organization.

The facility is designed for excellence, reverence, and functionality, offering a comprehensive space for modern ministry. It includes not only the expansive main auditorium and a dedicated children’s auditorium, but also a digital library, an in-house studio, and extensive administrative offices.

Beyond the core worship areas, the complex is equipped with two elevators, a robust 1,000 kVA transformer, backup generators, central air-conditioning, and advanced fire safety and CCTV systems, ensuring both comfort and security.

In a complementary act of generosity, the Agyepongs also provided a fully furnished four-bedroom mission house situated near the Jospong Group headquarters. Elder Dr Agyepong believes that “a shepherd is most effective when settled in a peaceful environment conducive to prayer and ministry,” and the residence reflects this conviction.

During the dedication service, Apostle Dr Eric Nyamekye, the current Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, delivered a sermon expressing deep gratitude to Elder Dr Agyepong, his wife, and the entire Jospong Group for their substantial contribution. “On behalf of the Church, we are profoundly grateful for this generous gift,” he stated.

He further emphasized that the true essence of a church lies not in its physical structure, but in the presence of God. “While we dedicate this magnificent building, remember that the only holy presence in the house of God is the believer. Is the glory of God truly present?” he questioned.

Dr Siaw Agyepong, in his thanksgiving address, humbly acknowledged the role of divine guidance in his life and the success of the Jospong Group. “This is not a speech of achievement; it is a testimony of grace,” he said. He recounted times when he lacked direction, stating, “When I could not see my future, God saw it. When I did not know the way, God became the way.”

He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to his wife, Dr Adelaide Siaw Agyepong, recalling their early struggles. “When it was time for my customary marriage rites, and I could afford only two cloths out of the six required, she provided the rest herself. That is grace,” he shared.

The entire project, encompassing both the church and the mission house, was fully funded by the Agyepong family and the Jospong Group of Companies, solidifying their commitment to faith-based philanthropy.

The dedication ceremony was attended by prominent figures including the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, First Deputy Speaker Bernard Ahiafor, Members of Parliament, business leaders, traditional authorities, and staff of the Jospong Group. The project was overseen by Chaplain Pastor Daniel Danso from 2018 to 2025.
