The KGL Foundation sponsored the Tema Farmers’ Day Tennis Tournament on Saturday, aligning the event with the 41st National Farmers Day celebrations.

Organised by the Premier Tennis Club, the tournament – now in its sixth edition – featured four teams: Tema Premier Tennis Club, Koforidua Sports Club, Burma Camp Tennis Club and Sakumono Tennis Club.

“We partnered with the Premier Tennis Club to make a tangible impact and support the development of tennis in Ghana,” said Edwin Osmond‑Lamptey, Public Relations Officer of the KGL Foundation.

Osmond‑Lamptey explained that the foundation’s core mission is to uplift underserved Ghanaians, providing health, education, youth development, sports and cultural opportunities across the country’s sixteen regions.

He added, “We envision this competition evolving into a larger tournament, eventually comparable to Wimbledon, serving as a stepping stone for Ghanaian talent.”

The backing of KGL Foundation underscores the growing synergy between corporate philanthropy and grassroots sport, aiming to inspire more participation and showcase Ghana’s farming community on a broader stage.
