Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has urged Ghana’s youth to embrace discipline, integrity, and selfless service as the cornerstone of national development, speaking at the 66th Republic Day Cadet Parade.
As the Reviewing Officer representing President John Dramani Mahama, she praised the cadets’ display of discipline, teamwork, and patriotism, noting that the values instilled by the National Cadet Corps are essential for building a resilient Ghana.
The event, held to commemorate Ghana’s 66th Republic Day, featured cadets from all sixteen regions performing drills and ceremonial displays after months of training.
Opoku-Agyemang emphasized that national progress depends on citizens who uphold ethical standards and serve selflessly, calling on the youth to be agents of change in their communities.
She also linked the cadet programme to broader national goals, urging graduates to apply their training in service to the nation.
