A 2019 Fellow of the Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC), Robben Asare, has been crowned the National Best Youth Farmer at the 2025 National Farmers’ Day celebration.
Mr. Asare’s success follows his participation in the KIC program, where he received training, mentorship, and business development support that inspired his journey into large-scale plantation farming.
He currently focuses on the production of rice, mangoes, and other crops. According to KIC, consistent mentorship and its practical agribusiness training model were instrumental in transforming Mr. Asare’s vision into a thriving agricultural enterprise.
His commitment to sustainable practices was earlier recognized with the Best Agroforestry Award in 2019, solidifying his position as a leading young agripreneur in Ghana.
“This achievement is a clear demonstration of KIC’s long-term impact in equipping young people with the right skills, knowledge, and support systems to succeed in agriculture,” KIC stated in a congratulatory message.
The organization further emphasized that its fellowship and youth-centered programs empower young innovators to transition from learning to large-scale production and national recognition.
KIC has congratulated Mr. Asare for making the nation proud and reaffirmed its commitment to celebrating young people who are redefining agriculture through innovation, resilience, and purpose.
