Zonda Tec CEO Yang Yang Wins Two GWM Awards in Dubai
Zonda Tec Ghana CEO Yang Yang clinched two top awards at the 2025 GWM Experience Awards in Dubai, underscoring Ghana’s growing clout in West Africa’s automotive market. The honors represent a first for a Ghanaian distributor at the global event.
The ceremony, held at the Al Habtoor Hotel on 15 March 2025, recognised her with the Outstanding Sales Growth in West Africa and Outstanding Distributor Manager awards, as distributors from across Africa vied for the honors.
Yang drove a remarkable sales surge in Ghana and fast‑tracked the launch of GWM’s TANK 700 SUV, a move that outpaced larger markets and boosted the brand’s regional footprint.
“This is not only a personal honour but a testament to the dedication of our entire team in Ghana,” Yang said. “It underscores Ghana’s potential as a strategic hub for GWM’s growth in West Africa,” she added.
Industry analysts note that such accolades highlight Ghana’s rising status as a key market for Chinese automakers, signalling increasing consumer confidence and expanding vehicle ownership across the country.
Yang affirmed Zonda Tec Ghana’s commitment to deepen its market presence, promising continued investment in after‑sales service, dealer development and talent training to enhance customer experience and sustain growth.
Stakeholders can expect further rollout of new models and expanded service networks, positioning Ghana as a pivotal gateway for GWM’s West African expansion.
