Annie Macaulay reverts to Idibia during 2Face‑Natasha split

Nigerian actress Annie Macaulay Idibia reverted her Instagram handle to her estranged husband’s surname on Thursday, intensifying the public feud surrounding 2Face Idibia and his new partner, lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.

The name change was posted at about 10:00 am GMT, just hours after a video surfaced showing 2Face being handcuffed in London following a heated altercation with Natasha. The clip quickly went viral on West African social media.

Later that afternoon, the singer appeared on Daddy Freeze’s Instagram livestream, where he was briefly assaulted and the broadcast cut short. In the final moments, 2Face can be heard asking Natasha, “What is your problem?” before she snatched the phone from him.

Annie, who switched to her maiden name in March 2025 following the couple’s separation, offered no comment on the timing. A spokesperson for the actress declined to provide a statement, saying the decision was a personal matter.

Ghanaian fans have flooded Twitter with reactions, many noting the drama mirrors past celebrity feuds in the country. @GhanaBuzz wrote, “The saga keeps unfolding – looks like the entertainment scene is hotter than ever.”

Industry observers suggest the Instagram re‑branding could be a strategic move to maintain public interest and possibly leverage future brand endorsements in both Nigeria and Ghana.

The situation remains fluid, with both parties hinted at possible legal steps. Ghanaian media will continue to monitor developments as they unfold.
