Ho Teaching Hospital inaugurated a purpose‑built Meditation Garden and Music Therapy Studio at its Kpogadzi annex, marking a new milestone in its wellness and medical tourism drive.

The centre, nestled along the Ho‑Aflao road in the Volta Region, offers a tranquil sanctuary designed to promote mental and emotional rejuvenation through guided meditation and therapeutic music sessions.

During the commissioning ceremony, diplomats, board members and senior hospital officials toured the facility, experiencing the immersive healing environment firsthand.

Among the distinguished guests were Ambassador Jean Natho Dore of Guinea, First Counsellor Abdul Aziz Diallo, High Commissioner H.E. Awoki Panassa of Togo, Acting Nigerian High Commissioner Amb. Dayo Adeoye, Mrs Julia Ekeoma and consultant Neil Armstrong‑Mortagbe.

Attendees participated in comprehensive preventive health screenings, physiotherapy exercises and music therapy sessions facilitated by clinical psychologists.

According to the hospital, the garden and studio complement conventional treatments by easing stress, reducing anxiety and bolstering patients’ psychological resilience, while also serving as a wellness retreat for busy professionals.

“It is an experience worth undertaking,” H.E. Awoki Panassa, who also serves as Dean of the diplomatic corps, praised the initiative and urged the public to utilise the centre’s offerings.

Mr Edmund Tsogbe, Director of Human Resources representing the CEO, reaffirmed HTH’s ambition to become Ghana’s leading medical‑tourism destination through integrated, patient‑centred care.

Medical Tourism Coordinator Mr Anthony Bells Kafui Kanyi announced that quarterly wellness retreats will launch next year, targeting corporate groups and individual clients.

The Meditation Garden and Music Therapy Studio are set to become a defining feature of HTH’s therapeutic landscape, underscoring the hospital’s strategic commitment to holistic health.
