Access Bank Ghana has concluded its six-month nationwide savings campaign, ‘Fa Ketewa Bɛgyɛ Kɛseɛ,’ with a grand draw held at its Accra head office.

The campaign aimed to foster a consistent savings culture among Ghanaians, and culminated in the final draw event.

Edward Nelson-Addy, Head of Corporate Communications at Access Bank, explained that the bank initiated the promotion believing that even modest savings can significantly improve financial well-being, particularly given the current economic challenges.

He emphasized the crucial role customers played by consistently making deposits, regardless of the amount. “Customers who made regular deposits, regardless of the amount, played a vital role in sustaining the campaign’s momentum,” he stated.

The promotion comprised four mini draws and a mega draw, rewarding customers for their dedication to saving. Nelson-Addy further noted that the initiative had become more than just a banking promotion, evolving into a support system for customers managing expenses like school fees, rent, and household needs.

“Even during demanding times, saving still holds power. And today, we celebrate that power,” Nelson-Addy highlighted.

Elizabeth, a customer from the Kejetia branch, won GH₵15,000 in the first-tier category, while Veronica from Tarkwa secured GH₵30,000. Amos, from the Legon branch, took home the grand prize of GH₵50,000.

Young savers were also recognized with tech prizes. Ramatu from Legon received an iPhone 16 Pro Max, Josephine from UPSA won a PlayStation 5, and Bridget was awarded a Chromebook for their commitment to the campaign.

According to Nelson-Addy, the prizes were a gesture of appreciation for customer loyalty. “The success of the campaign was made possible by the customers themselves,” he added.

The National Lottery Authority (NLA) supervised the draw, with Akua Serwaa Adu Darko representing the Authority. She commended Access Bank for its transparency and fairness throughout the promotion, noting that it had encouraged many Ghanaians to embrace saving.

“The NLA’s partnership with Access Bank reflects the bank’s professionalism and dedication to customer-focused programs that promote financial empowerment,” Adu Darko stated.
