Ghanaian poet and cultural storyteller, Nana Asaase, is set to host the ninth edition of his acclaimed literary show, Mental Pictures 9: By the Fireside, on Friday, December 12th, 2025.
The event will be held at the Alisa Hotel in North Ridge, starting at 6:30 pm. Patrons can expect an evening filled with captivating stories, vibrant literary expressions, and rich cultural renditions.

Mental Pictures has grown into a cherished institution for enthusiasts of Ghanaian poetry and culture. The previous edition, “Bagyina Reloaded,” took place in November 2024 at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, showcasing a diverse array of poets, musicians, and cultural performers.
Nana Asaase, whose birth name is Philip Boakye Dua Oyinka, brings over two decades of experience to the literary and spoken-word scene. He is widely recognized for his unique ability to seamlessly integrate English and Ghanaian languages, employing vivid metaphors and rhythmic delivery to explore themes of African identity, heritage, and modern life.
