Detty Rave 2025 Ignites African Dance and Music

Accra is set to ignite this December as Detty Rave, Africa’s premier afrodance music festival, returns for its seventh edition on December 27th.

This year’s theme, “Raise the Heat,” promises an evolution of the festival, bringing with it authentic creativity, heightened intensity, and a renewed vibrancy. The event will transform Untamed Empire into a dynamic space filled with light, sound, and movement, offering an immersive experience for attendees.

Created by Nigerian artist Mr Eazi, Detty Rave has grown into a globally recognized DJ-led event, celebrated for its futuristic production and diverse musical palette. Festival-goers can expect a genre-bending mix of Afrobeats, Amapiano, Afrohouse, 3Step, Afrotech, Highlife, and Dancehall.

The 2025 lineup boasts a stellar cast of performers, including SPINALL, Nooriyah, Chichi DJ, Ciza, DJ Aroma, and Choplife Soundsystem. These artists are expected to deliver electrifying sets throughout the night.

“We are not returning. We are evolving,” Mr Eazi stated, emphasizing the festival’s commitment to innovation. “Raise the Heat is a frequency shift and the true heart of December nightlife. Accra will host the most authentic African dance music eruption you have ever felt.”

Beyond the music, this year’s Detty Rave will feature enhanced artistic direction from Dennis Osadebe Studio and captivating large-scale installations by Dotun Popoola, further elevating the festival experience.
