Delta Airlines has rolled out fast, free Wi-Fi to over 1,000 aircraft, offering SkyMiles® Members an unprecedented level of connectivity during flights.

The airline’s Delta Sync platform is at the heart of this upgrade, providing more than just internet access. Passengers can now enjoy Members-only offers, exclusive content, and travel inspiration while in the air.

Delta Sync also enhances the seatback entertainment experience, transforming screens into smart TV-like interfaces. New partnerships with streaming services like YouTube, Crunchyroll, and Paramount+ add to the in-flight entertainment options.

“Delta’s commitment to delivering connectivity for every customer has been game-changing, both for our customers and for the industry at large,” stated Ranjan Goswami, Senior Vice President, Customer Experience Design. “We’re turning our planes into platforms, where customers can stay entertained, connected and informed from takeoff to landing. Delta Sync is the enabler that makes these personalized experiences and exclusive offers possible.”

Looking ahead, Delta is introducing new features like ‘Kids Map,’ an interactive adventure designed to entertain young travelers with games and quizzes. ‘Destination Stories’ will also debut next year, offering a story-led travel guide with local activity bookings and exclusive deals accessible directly from the seatback screen.

The Delta Sync seatback experience is expanding to the Boeing 737-900 fleet in early 2025, and is currently being rolled out on the Boeing 737-800, 767-300 and A350-900 aircraft. It is currently available on over 300 aircraft, representing 45% of in-flight entertainment (IFE) enplanements.

Passengers in Delta One and Delta First will also benefit from interactive food and beverage menus on their seatback screens, allowing them to explore options based on route and dietary needs. This feature is expected to expand to more routes and seat products by 2026.

“Delivering on this vision meant rethinking what was possible in-flight,” explained Glenn Latta, Managing Director, In-flight Entertainment and connectivity. “Now, thanks to the innovation and perseverance of Delta people, we’ve built a platform that meets today’s expectations and anticipates tomorrow’s.”
