Holders Newcastle United are set for a challenging semi-final clash against eight-time Carabao Cup champions, Manchester City.
Chelsea’s semi-final opponents will be determined after Tuesday, December 23rd, with either Arsenal or Crystal Palace standing in their way. The rescheduling of Arsenal’s quarter-final against Crystal Palace was necessary to alleviate fixture congestion for Palace, who were involved in Europa Conference League action on Thursday.
The first legs of the semi-final ties are scheduled for the week of January 12th, 2026, with the return legs taking place the following month, commencing February 2nd.
Chelsea will be eager to lift the trophy, having been runners-up to Liverpool in both 2022 and 2024. Their last triumph came in 2015. Manchester City, who previously enjoyed a dominant run, winning the trophy four times consecutively up to 2021, haven’t reached this stage since.
Newcastle, meanwhile, will be looking to continue their impressive form after securing their first domestic trophy in 70 years with a victory over Liverpool in March.
