Aston Villa are on the verge of bolstering their attacking options with the impending arrival of 19-year-old Brazilian winger, Alysson, from Gremio.

The Premier League side has agreed to a deal worth £10.5 million for the promising talent. The initial transfer fee stands at £8.7 million, with a further £1.8 million tied to performance-related add-ons. Gremio will also benefit from a 10% sell-on clause should Villa decide to cash in on Alysson in the future.

Alysson, a left-footed player who operates primarily on the right wing, has impressed with two goals and five assists in 43 appearances for Gremio this year. He is expected to undergo a medical before officially joining the club in January.

The acquisition adds further depth to Unai Emery’s attack, which already boasts established stars like Ollie Watkins, Morgan Rogers, Evann Guessand, Jadon Sancho, Donyell Malen, and Harvey Elliott. Villa fans are clearly excited by the potential of this new addition.

This news comes on the back of a superb run of form for the Midlands club. They defeated league leaders Arsenal on Saturday, propelling them to third place in the Premier League table, just three points behind the Gunners and behind second-placed Manchester City. Emery’s men have now secured seven consecutive victories across all competitions, showcasing impressive momentum.

The club management believes Alysson’s arrival will significantly contribute to maintaining their competitive edge, which will be crucial as they aim to fight for a top spot in the league and possibly compete in European competitions. Further details regarding Alysson’s contract length and squad number will be released in due course.
