Twellium Industrial Company Limited has been crowned the Ultimate Best Manufacturing Company of the Year at the Ghana Beverage Awards 2025, solidifying its position as a leading force in Ghana’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.

The prestigious award recognizes over a decade of remarkable growth for Twellium, established in 2013 by Hussein and Hassan Kesserwani. What began as a modest beverage producer has blossomed into a diversified manufacturer.

Today, Twellium boasts a broad portfolio encompassing bottled water, soft drinks, energy drinks, biscuits, confectionery, and baked goods. The company’s success is largely attributed to its popular brands, which have become staples in Ghanaian households.

Verna Mineral Water, the company’s flagship product, continues to dominate the bottled water market. Beyond its commercial success, Verna’s ‘Changing Lives’ initiative – focused on healthcare, education, and supporting vulnerable communities – has garnered significant recognition, including endorsements from the Ghana Medical Association.

Other well-known Twellium beverages include Bigoo, American Cola, Planet Drinks, Slemfit Water, Chale Juices, Dr. Malt, Rasta Malt, Run Energy, Xplus Energy, and Pippo. Bigoo, in particular, has gained traction with its Cola and Cocktail flavours, posing a strong challenge in the carbonated soft drink category.

Twellium’s expansion extends to the bakery sector with McBerry Biscuits, McBerry Cakes, and a growing range of cookies. The company now operates three state-of-the-art production facilities in Accra, Kumasi, and Bobo Dioulasso.

These plants are equipped with cutting-edge machinery from global leaders such as Sidel, Krones, GEA, Tonelli, Imaforni, and Tetra Pak. Twellium maintains stringent quality control, with its facilities certified under ISO 9001:2015, HACCP, and Halal standards, and approved by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) and the Ghana Standards Authority.

“This award is a testament to our commitment to quality, innovation, and social responsibility,” a company spokesperson stated. “We intend to leverage this recognition to further strengthen our operations in Ghana and explore new opportunities across West Africa.”

Twellium’s dedication to youth empowerment, community support, and sustainability has played a crucial role in its industry standing and public image. The Ghana Beverage Awards 2025 win marks another significant milestone in the company’s ongoing journey.
