Hajia Radia Adama Saani, Chief Executive Officer of MoonTouch Travel Limited, has been recognised as Ghana’s Outstanding Woman in Travel and Tourism Leadership for 2025.
The award was presented at the Ghana Business Women Conference and Awards held in Accra on Friday, December 5, 2025. Ms. Saani, a dynamic entrepreneur with over a decade of experience growing MoonTouch Travel Limited, was celebrated among top female executives.
Speaking to journalists after receiving the honour, Ms. Saani described the recognition as “timely, motivating and heart‑warming.” She highlighted its importance for women’s leadership across the African continent.
“This is an extraordinary event, convening women entrepreneurs from 60 countries to deepen global networking and collaboration. Although I emerged as the winner in the Tourism Leadership category, I believe the sky must remain our only limit as we continue to celebrate our progress step by step,” she stated.
Ms. Saani further emphasised the crucial role of the awards scheme in empowering women and acknowledging their contributions to Ghana’s socio-economic development.
“This initiative has been instrumental in uplifting women. Recognising our efforts is refreshing, highly positive, and deeply encouraging. I am truly proud to be one of this year’s awardees,” she noted.
With a strong academic background – holding a diploma, first degree, and master’s degree in travel, tourism, and hospitality – Ms. Saani is committed to redefining the role of African women in the travel and tourism sector.
“As a specialist in this sector and a multiple award‑winner, this recognition motivates me to do even more and to set the pace for young girls across the country to believe in their own potential,” she concluded.
The Business Executive Group, organisers of the event, also honoured other distinguished women contributing to Ghana’s economic progress. The conference, now a prominent platform for celebrating women in enterprise, has expanded its international reach since its inception in 2011.
This year’s edition, centred on empowerment and continental collaboration, showcased the achievements of women across various sectors. The Ghana Business Women Conference and Awards is part of a broader initiative spanning over 20 countries, in partnership with the International Council for Women, the Executive Foundation, and the African Chamber for Trade.
The event included panel discussions, keynote addresses, networking opportunities, and an awards gala. Organisers underscored the programme’s commitment to being “Proudly African, Truly International,” fostering ambition, resilience, and continental leadership, while also exploring new avenues for investment and partnerships.
