World Vision Ghana has held a stakeholder validation workshop to finalise its strategic direction for the next five years.

The workshop, attended by representatives from government ministries, development agencies, and civil society groups, aimed to align the new strategy with Ghana’s national priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Mr Joshua Baidoo, Strategy & Integrated Programmes Director at World Vision Ghana, presented the refreshed strategy, themed “HOPE 4 Every Child – Harnessing Opportunities for the Protection and Empowerment of Every Child.” He stressed the need for collaborative efforts to improve the lives of vulnerable children.

“This strategy is not just a World Vision Ghana roadmap; it is a shared commitment to transform the lives of vulnerable children across Ghana. By working together with government, partners, and communities, we can ignite hope and create safe, resilient environments where every child can thrive,” Mr Baidoo stated.

The 2026-2030 strategy seeks to impact the lives of 2.8 million vulnerable children, ensuring they grow up loved, healthy, educated, and empowered within secure communities.

It is built on four key pillars: Ministry Impact, Ministry Funding, Operational Excellence, and People, Learning & Growth. These pillars are designed to improve programme results, increase funding diversity, enhance efficiency, and strengthen the organisation’s capacity.

Participants engaged in discussions about assessments of the current situation, which highlighted challenges like malnutrition, poor educational outcomes, and increased vulnerability to diseases and disasters.

The strategy prioritises health, education, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), and child protection, aligning with national development goals and the SDGs.

World Vision Ghana reaffirmed its dedication to working with ministries, agencies, and development organisations to achieve lasting impact through collaborative action and an integrated programme framework.
