Tems Opens Up About the Types of Men She Won't Date

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Tems, has outlined her non-negotiables in a potential partner, stating that a lack of friendliness and curiosity are major red flags.

The ‘Free Mind’ hitmaker, speaking in a recent interview with American media outlet Complex, emphasized the importance of a genuine connection beyond romantic interest.

“My dating terms are that someone who is not trying to be your friend is a red flag. Anybody who isn’t curious about you is also a red flag,” Tems explained. “Because what are we doing? Why are we here if you don’t want to know me?”

She firmly believes that if a partner isn’t invested in understanding her as an individual, the relationship isn’t worth pursuing. “If he or she doesn’t want to know more about you, end the relationship,” she advised.

Tems, who describes herself as a “lover girl,” indicated she’s become more cautious in her romantic pursuits due to past experiences. She is currently prioritizing self-love and personal growth.

The singer’s comments have sparked conversations online, with many praising her clarity and self-awareness regarding relationships.
