Families of prominent chiefs and academics have announced with sorrow the passing of Mrs. Stella Owusu Aouad, Managing Director of STEMAK Limited & Heritage Way Industries Ltd. She died on November 9th, 2025, after a fulfilling life, born on March 25th.
The announcement was made jointly by the Oseawuohene of Akuapem, Aburi Kurowura, Agonahene Aburi, Nana Baah Abu Okae, and Oseawuohemea of Akuapem, Agonahemea, Aburi, Ohemaa Abuaa, alongside other esteemed family members including Nana Osei Boakye Yiadom, Chief of Adamorobe, and Asonahene Nana Borkyere Appenteng Ababio of Adansi Akokerri.
According to the family, there will be no wake keeping. Funeral services, including a pre-burial service, burial, and thanksgiving, are scheduled for Tuesday, December 23rd, 2025, at 9:00 AM at the All Souls Interdenominational Chapel, Lashibi Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Lashibi, Accra.
The family has requested that attendees wear black attire. Following the burial service, funeral rites will be held at the Lashibi Funeral Homes and Crematorium Pavilion, also in Lashibi, Accra. The interment will be a private affair.
Mrs. Owusu Aouad is survived by her mother, Nana Oye Mansa Yeboaa, Dompiahene of Akuapem, and her children, Maurice Manase Kofi Owusu Aouad and Milad Manase Kwabena Yeboah Aouad. She also leaves behind three grandchildren.
The families of Nelson (Aburi & Accra), Owusu (led by J. Stanley Owusu), and Carr (Adansi Akokerri, Obuasi, Accra & Abroad) extend a warm invitation to friends and sympathisers to join them in mourning their loss and celebrating her life.
