Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin and the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, will be the main guests at the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Dinner Night on Monday, December 22, 2025.

The event, slated for the forecourt of the Ghana International Press Centre (GIPC) in Accra, is expected to bring together journalists, media leaders, government representatives, and other important figures in Ghana’s media landscape.

Mr. Bagbin will grace the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour, while King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II will serve as a Special Guest and Patron. Organizers say this highlights the crucial relationship between traditional leadership and democratic governance in shaping national conversations.

Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, is also scheduled to attend as a Special Guest. The GJA President, Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, will be the host for the evening.

The dinner night will commence at 6:00 p.m. with a Formal/Traditional dress code. It will be broadcast live on GBC News, GTV, and other prominent media channels.

“This event is a platform to celebrate the invaluable contributions of journalists to our nation’s development and to foster collaboration within the media fraternity,” a GJA representative stated. Further details regarding specific activities planned for the night are expected to be released closer to the date.
