Roverman Productions Hosts Festival of Plays

Accra is set to come alive this festive season as Roverman Productions announces the return of its highly anticipated Festival of Plays, featuring six compelling original works by renowned playwright, Uncle Ebo Whyte.

The festival will run from December 24th to 28th, and then resume in the New Year from January 1st to 4th, with daily performances at the National Theatre at both 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm.

This year’s lineup boasts popular titles including Terms of Divorce, Dubai or No Sex, The Ex Factor, Love on the Ropes, Voices in My Head, and Order for Four. Audiences can expect the signature Roverman blend of humour and insightful exploration of relatable themes.

According to Roverman Productions, the plays delve into the complexities of love, relationships, personal challenges, and the realities of Ghanaian society. “We aim to tell stories that resonate with our audience, making them laugh, think, and ultimately, feel seen,” a representative stated.

Recognizing the current economic climate, Roverman Productions has introduced a tiered ticketing system to ensure accessibility. Loyalty Card Holders can enjoy shows for just GH₵225 per performance, exclusively through the Rover App – the most significant discount available.

Regular tickets are priced at GH₵300 and can be purchased via the KORBA shortcode 365535, at designated ticket outlets, and through various online platforms. For avid theatregoers, the Festival Pack offers access to any six plays for a total of GH₵1200, representing substantial savings.

“We believe everyone deserves to experience the magic of theatre,” explained Uncle Ebo Whyte. “This pricing structure is our way of opening the doors wider and making our productions more inclusive.”

The Festival of Plays is proudly sponsored by Korba, Gino Jollof Mix, and Stanbic Bank, with MNotify serving as the official communications partner.
