Kuami Eugene Brings Rebranded Highlife Concert to Kumasi

Highlife musician Kuami Eugene has announced the return of his annual concert, now rebranded as ‘Highlife Time with Kuami Eugene’, and will be held in Kumasi for the first time.

The event, previously known as Hero’s Concert, is scheduled for Boxing Day, Friday, December 26, 2025, at the Milan Lounge in Kumasi, with performances set to begin at 8:00 pm.

Kuami Eugene, born Eugene Kwame Marfo, explained that relocating the concert to the Ashanti Regional capital is a deliberate move to honour the genre’s origins. “I’m bringing back Hero’s Concert. The last one was with A.B. Crentsil, who passed on later,” he shared.

“I’m bringing it to Kumasi, actually. Kumasi is more highlife-oriented. Even though I sell out Accra all the time, I thought it was wise to bring it to Kumasi (at least for this year). The only change is the name, which is now ‘Highlife Time with Kuami Eugene’,” the artiste added.

The 2021 Hero Concert, which featured a performance with the late highlife legend A.B. Crentsil, was highly praised and demonstrated Kuami Eugene’s dedication to preserving Ghana’s highlife heritage.

‘Highlife Time with Kuami Eugene’ promises a night of authentic Ghanaian music, featuring live band performances and a celebration of the genre, curated by one of Ghana’s leading hitmakers.

The concert is anticipated to attract music enthusiasts from across the Ashanti Region and beyond, as Kuami Eugene continues his efforts to both preserve and evolve Ghana’s highlife sound.

Tickets and table reservations are available here.
