Hearts Midfielder Hussein Mohammed Banned for 3 Matches

Hearts of Oak midfielder Hussein Mohammed has been handed a three-match suspension by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee.

The suspension stems from an incident of misconduct during the recent Ghana Premier League clash against rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko. Mohammed was charged after he reportedly attempted to slap a match official amidst post-match confusion.

As a result of the ban, the player will miss crucial upcoming fixtures against league leaders Aduana F.C., former champions Medeama S.C., and F.C. Samartex 1996. This is a significant blow to Hearts of Oak’s campaign.

Despite the suspension, Mohammed has had a relatively quiet season for the Phobians, netting only one goal – the match-winner against Dreams F.C. on match day two. His absence will undoubtedly be felt in midfield.

Currently, Hearts of Oak sit third on the league table with 24 points after 14 matches. The team will be hoping to maintain their position despite Mohammed’s suspension and the challenging run of games ahead.

The GFA Disciplinary Committee’s decision is aimed at maintaining discipline within the league, according to a statement released earlier today. Further details regarding the incident and the committee’s findings are expected to be made public soon.
