The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced December 29 and 30 as the dates for the 2025 written promotion examinations for qualified teachers across the country.
According to a press release from the GES, the examinations will be held nationwide at designated centres. Candidates have been directed to be at their assigned centres by 8:30 a.m. on both days.
Teachers sitting for the exams are expected to bring along their original Ghana Card and any other materials as may be specified by the Service. Further details concerning examination venues, the complete list of eligible candidates, and invigilation schedules will be released soon.
The GES has also instructed Regional Directors of Education to swiftly share this information with all schools and teachers within their regions. Teacher unions – the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), and the Coalition of Concerned Teachers (CCT) – have been asked to disseminate details to their members and encourage participation.
“The Service appreciates the continued support of all stakeholders,” the statement reads, adding that it aims for a “smooth, efficient, and successful promotion examination process.”
