Deloitte Ghana’s Associate Director of Tax and Regulatory, Gilbert Yirenkyi‑Addo, has been named the 2025 Deloitte CEO Impact Award winner, while Manager Theresa Somuah secured the regional runner‑up position.

The award recognises excellence among 211 Deloitte professionals selected from across Africa. Deloitte said the winners demonstrate a deep commitment to making a positive difference both within the firm and in the wider communities they serve.

“It is an honour and a very emotional moment for me,” Gilbert Yirenkyi‑Addo said. “It validates the hard work I have poured into my role and, more importantly, recognises my commitment to developing my team. I have always believed in having a listening ear for the personal and career challenges of my colleagues, and having that soft skill recognised by Deloitte Africa leadership means the world to me.”

Theresa Somuah, who finished as the Africa‑region runner‑up, added, “This achievement is a testament that no matter where you are, your efforts to lift others up will always be noticed and duly appreciated.”

In a related development, Theresa’s team of seven professionals has received the 2025 Africa Tax and Legal Employee Recognition Awards for consistently delivering strong growth and exceeding expectations across various business lines.

Through efficient processes, high‑quality client service and technical expertise, the team has contributed significantly to Deloitte Ghana’s financial success and reputation, reinforcing the firm’s position as a leading professional services provider in the country.

These accolades highlight the impact of purposeful leadership and collective effort within Deloitte Ghana, setting a benchmark for other firms and inspiring young Ghanaian professionals to pursue excellence in tax and regulatory services.
