Akwantufuo Band Leads Paris Concert with Sefa and Yaw Stone

Ghanaian music lovers in Europe are in for a treat as the Akwantufuo Band prepares to thrill audiences in Paris, alongside Afrobeats star Sefa and Highlife maestro Yaw Stone.

The concert, dubbed ‘Akwantufuo Band Live in Paris,’ is slated for January 25, 2026, at 7:00 PM, and will be held at 270 Avenue du Président Wilson, 93210 Saint-Denis, France. Organised by BNF Joe Etti Production, the event promises a captivating blend of Highlife, Afrobeats, and Afro-pop, showcasing the vibrancy of Ghanaian music on an international platform.

Headlining the show is the Akwantufuo Band, led by the celebrated percussionist and xylophone virtuoso, Nana Senti, affectionately known as the “xylophone beast” for his exceptional skill with African polyrhythms. The band is renowned for its energetic live performances, seamlessly merging traditional instrumentation with contemporary sounds.

Their recent releases – ‘Sika’ (2024), ‘SUGYA’ featuring Obibini (2025), and ‘MMERE’ featuring Abiodun (2025) – have further solidified their position as key players in Ghana’s dynamic music landscape.

Sefa (Sefadzi Abena Amesu) will also grace the stage, bringing her signature Afrobeats energy and hit songs. The Accra-born singer, with roots in both Ewe and Dagara cultures, gained prominence with her 2021 smash hit, ‘E Choke’ featuring Mr Drew, which sparked a viral dance craze.

The song earned her the prestigious Afrobeats Song of the Year award at the 2022 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. Now navigating her career as an independent artist after leaving Black Avenue Muzik in 2024, Sefa continues to deliver chart-toppers like ‘All Over’ featuring Camidoh (2024), ‘Shelempele’ (2025), and ‘Bedroom Bully’ featuring Laruso (2025).

Completing the lineup is Dr. Yaw Stone (Godwin Boakye Yiadom-Buor), a multi-instrumentalist celebrated for his unique performance style – playing castanets with his toes while simultaneously strumming the guitar. A staunch advocate for traditional Highlife music, Yaw Stone’s recent release, ‘Time Changes’ (2025), blends classic Highlife sounds with modern Afrobeat influences.

This Paris concert represents a significant step for Ghanaian artists in extending the reach of live band music to the diaspora, offering fans a night of cultural pride and unforgettable entertainment.

Tickets are available for €30 (regular) and €50 (premium) and can be purchased via [Ticket Link – Placeholder] or by calling +33 6 14 70 75 66.
