Ahtoo Montessori Showcases Ghanaian Culture at ENJOY AI 2025 Finals

Ghanaian students from Ahtoo Montessori School have captivated audiences at the ENJOY AI 2025 Global Finals in Wuzhen, Shanghai, with a stunning cultural performance alongside their impressive robotics skills.

The Ahtoo delegation showcased Ghana’s rich heritage at the Opening Ceremony, performing in vibrant traditional attire. Their display seamlessly blended music, dance, and storytelling, earning enthusiastic applause from international delegates, organizers, and fellow competitors.

“We wanted to show the world that Ghanaian innovation is rooted in our culture. Technology and tradition can go hand in hand,” a team coordinator from Ahtoo Montessori stated.

The performance was particularly noteworthy in a competition largely focused on advanced robotics and artificial intelligence. It served as a powerful reminder that Africa brings not only technical expertise but also significant cultural contributions to the global stage.

Ahtoo Montessori had already achieved success at the finals, winning bronze in the highly competitive Battle of Tribes category. This cultural performance built on that accomplishment, highlighting the school’s commitment to a holistic education that fosters both STEM skills and cultural pride.

Ahmed Salim, General Manager of Atlantic Lithium, praised the students’ initiative. “It was inspiring to see our young people showcase Ghana’s culture on a global stage while competing at such a high technical level. This sends a powerful message about Africa’s potential in both technology and the arts,” he explained.

The school’s success reflects Ghana’s growing involvement in international STEM competitions and emphasizes the importance of integrating cultural identity with technical education. Ahtoo Montessori is supported by MakersPlace Ghana and ENJOY AI partners WhalesBot in its efforts to champion youth robotics, coding and AI education.
