Adrobaa Roman Catholic Basic School clinched the 2025 Milo U13 Championship on Saturday at Paa Joe Park, beating Franko International School 2‑0 to claim the title and a cash prize of GH₵50,000.

The sixth edition of the tournament, returning after a six‑year hiatus, saw the Ahafo side take an early lead when John Badu’s own‑goal in the first minute put them ahead. About eleven minutes into the second half, Danso Dramani doubled the margin from a set‑piece, sealing a decisive victory.

Beyond the trophy donated by Ghanaian legend Abedi Pele, Adrobaa’s goalkeeper Amankwah Sebastian was named Best Goalkeeper after keeping clean sheets throughout the knockout stage and making a crucial penalty save in the quarter‑final shoot‑out against Bono East.

Franko International School’s forward Righteous Aidoo walked away with both the Golden Boot, after netting six goals, and the Golden Ball for his overall performances, while his team earned GH₵30,000 as runners‑up.

St. Francis R/C from Bono secured the bronze medal and a GH₵20,000 prize after a dramatic 3‑2 penalty shoot‑out win over Advent Reform Institute, and Good News Preparatory School from the Central Region was honoured as the Fair Play Team.

Football legend and Milo icon Stephen Appiah, who attended the final, appealed for better management of the young talent emerging from the competition. “At times it saddens my heart that after this tournament, where are they going? We have to do something to keep these boys. They are playing in Europe,” Appiah said.

He added, “Through Milo, we still have hope for Ghana football. If the current generation is not nurtured, who will replace them in the national team?”

The triumph marks a historic moment for the Ahafo region, adding the school’s name to Ghana’s youth‑football folklore and highlighting the importance of sustained support for grassroots development.

Organisers confirmed that the next Milo U13 Championship will take place in 2027, with plans to expand participation across more regions.
