Absa Bank Ghana has been honoured with three prestigious awards at the 2025 Marketing World Awards held in Accra. The recognition celebrates the bank’s impactful brand building, commitment to sustainability, and strong leadership in marketing and corporate affairs.
The bank clinched the title of Most Impactful Brand Campaign of the Year for its innovative ‘Get More with Absa’ campaign. Absa was also lauded as the Best Banking Brand in Sustainability, a testament to its dedication to responsible banking practices.
Adding to the bank’s success, Nana Essilfuah Tamakloe, Director of Marketing and Corporate Affairs at Absa Bank Ghana, was crowned Marketing Icon of the Year 2025. This individual award acknowledges her significant contributions to the marketing landscape.

The ‘Get More with Absa’ campaign, launched in 2025, aimed to empower customers to maximize their banking experience through convenient digital solutions and value-added services. It underscored Absa’s commitment to customer experience and flexibility.
The award for Best Banking Brand in Sustainability highlights Absa Bank Ghana’s broader commitment to positively impacting the communities it serves. This includes significant financial and developmental support.
Through its partnership with the Mastercard Foundation under the Young Africa Works programme, Absa has provided over US$137 million in affordable, collateral-free loans to more than 8,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) since 2020. A substantial 60% of these businesses are women-led, with a focus on youth and agribusiness ventures.
Beyond financial assistance, the partnership has extended crucial training, coaching, and mentoring to over 7,000 businesses, resulting in the creation of more than 50,000 jobs for young Ghanaians.
Absa’s dedication to youth development is further demonstrated through its ReadytoWork programme, which equipped 1.7 million young people with essential skills in employability, entrepreneurship, money management, and creative thinking in 2025. The Money Matters financial literacy initiative also reached 126,000 students, fostering responsible financial habits.
The Marketing World Awards annually recognise outstanding achievements in marketing and communications, celebrating innovation, strategic thinking, and demonstrable value creation.
