MUSIGA Accra Names AMISTY GH Artist of the Year

Fast-rising Ghanaian musician, AMISTY GH, has been honoured with the Discovery Artist of the Year Award by the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Greater Accra Region.

The award was presented at MUSIGA Greater Accra’s End of Year Fundraising Dinner and Awards Ceremony. According to the award citation, AMISTY GH was recognised for his impressive strides as an independent artist.

The citation further lauded his dedication, creativity, and growing influence in promoting Ghanaian music and culture both within the country and on the international stage. It acknowledged his consistent hard work and increasing impact on the music industry over the past year.

The ceremony, a colourful event, drew together a diverse group of musicians, industry stakeholders, cultural enthusiasts, and supporters of the arts. It formed a crucial part of MUSIGA’s annual fundraising efforts, aimed at bolstering the welfare of musicians and fostering the growth of Ghana’s creative arts sector.

MUSIGA emphasized the importance of identifying and nurturing emerging talents, stating that AMISTY GH embodies a new generation of artists reshaping the Ghanaian music landscape with originality and commitment.

“This award is a major source of motivation,” AMISTY GH said, expressing his gratitude to MUSIGA Greater Accra. “It will inspire me to work even harder and remain focused on contributing positively to Ghana’s music industry and cultural heritage.”

The Discovery Artist of the Year Award is a key MUSIGA initiative designed to celebrate excellence and encourage young, independent artists to pursue their craft with professionalism, discipline, and passion.
