Black Sherif Pulls Off Historic Zaama Disco 2025 Despite Logistical Challenges

Black Sherif made history on December 21, delivering a captivating performance at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium. The concert, a showcase of his acclaimed Iron Boy album and previous works, saw the 23-year-old artist ascend to stadium status.

An ecstatic crowd of tens of thousands erupted as Black Sherif, dressed in a stylish white shirt and brown leather pants, took the stage. The night was a meticulously crafted journey through his discography, punctuated by brilliant outfit changes and unexpected artistic moments.

The setlist seamlessly blended fan-favorite tracks with appearances from fellow Ghanaian artists including Sarkodie, KiDi, AratheJay, Beatz Trap, Gonaboy, and AlorG. According to attendees, the energy remained consistently high throughout the night.

In a particularly intimate moment, Black Sherif performed an acoustic rendition of “Don’t Forget Me” from his debut album, The Villain I Never Was. “I’ve been learning this for the past four months,” he revealed to the audience, demonstrating his dedication to his craft.

While some social media users expressed disappointment over a delayed start, the concert’s success was largely due to a remarkable logistical feat. Just 17 hours prior, the stadium hosted a major boxing event attended by former President John Mahama. Organisers faced immense pressure to transform the venue overnight.

The transformation was staggering, involving the dismantling of the boxing ring, reconfiguration of seating to accommodate a larger crowd, and the installation of a world-class stage, lighting, and sound system. “These setups typically require days, not hours,” an event insider noted, highlighting the exceptional effort involved.

Black Sherif acknowledged the audience’s patience midway through his set. “Thank you for your patience,” he stated, a gesture that resonated with fans and acknowledged the tireless work of the crew.

The concert culminated in a powerful performance of “Top Of The Morning,” its anthemic lyrics providing a fitting end to a night celebrating growth, resilience, and the collective joy of music. The performance underscored Black Sherif’s evolution as an artist and his connection with his devoted fanbase.
