NSA Boss Vows to End Ghost Names, Save Funds

The National Service Authority (NSA) is reporting significant savings for the state and a crackdown on fraudulent activities thanks to reforms implemented under the leadership of Director-General, Ruth Dela Seddoh.

Ms. Seddoh stated that a new operational system is now in place, strengthening payroll controls and ensuring that national service allowances are only disbursed to legitimately enrolled personnel.

“I have saved taxpayers’ money, and I will fight with my last breath to ensure that there are no longer any ghost names at the NSA under the new system,” she stated firmly.

According to Ms. Seddoh, the reforms centre around stricter verification processes and enhanced digital controls designed to eliminate loopholes previously exploited for fraudulent enrolment and payments.

She emphasized that these measures are not only safeguarding public funds but also rebuilding trust in the National Service Scheme.

Reaffirming her commitment to transparency and accountability, Ms. Seddoh stressed that the NSA, under her direction, will not tolerate any practices that compromise the integrity of national service.

“The goal is simple: every pesewa paid must go to a real, verified service person who has legitimately earned it,” she added.
