Yango Delivery celebrated its top performers and reaffirmed its commitment to Ghana’s growing gig economy at its 5th Partner Conference held on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the National Theatre.

Over 600 partner couriers and cargo drivers attended the event, which recognized their contributions during the latter half of the year. The conference brought together key players in the delivery sector, including fleet owners and industry leaders.

Top performers were rewarded with brand new motorbikes, while others received 55” flatscreen TVs, fuel coupons, smartphones, and hampers. The awards highlighted Yango’s appreciation for the dedication of its partners in meeting the increasing demand for efficient delivery services across Ghana.

The conference also prioritized the wellbeing of delivery personnel, featuring a road safety talk delivered by the Ghana Police Service and a CPR training session conducted by the Ghana Red Cross Society.

In a keynote address, CEO of the National Youth Authority, Osman Ayariga, Esq, described the event as more than just an awards ceremony. “Yango is expanding economic opportunities and helping reduce youth unemployment; our couriers must stay professional and prioritize safety — helmets are for your protection, not to avoid the police,” he stated.

Yango also shared insights into navigating the challenges and opportunities within the gig economy, offering best practices for its workforce.

Emmanuel Koduah, Country Manager of Yango Delivery in Ghana, emphasized the importance of collaboration. “Today, we come together not just to celebrate achievements but to strengthen the collaborative spirit that drives our success. Our partners are the backbone of our operations, and it is vital to honor their contributions while equipping them with the knowledge and tools necessary for continued excellence in the gig economy,” he said.

Notable award winners included Ishmael Addo Nyanyo (Courier of the Year), Linda Martey (Female Courier of the Year), GL Logistics (Partner of the Year), Vibrant Cosy Express (Female Partner of the Year), Luzhaven Company (Cargo Partner of the Year), Abubakar Awal Nantowah (Contest Winner, Cargo Category), and John Randy Afful (Contest Winner, Courier Category).

The Yango Partner Conference underscored the company’s dedication to fostering a strong partnership network focused on safety, excellence, and mutual growth as it expands its operations in Ghana.
