Ghanaian Staff Prevent Demolition of Historic Osu Kuku Hill Bungalows

Employees of Ghana Museums & Monuments Board halted a private developer’s demolition attempt of staff residences at Osu Kuku Hill. The bungalows, part of Ghana’s national history, were saved by the staff, who were troubled by the loss of heritage.

The developer showed up with heavy machinery on Saturday morning. In response, the dedicated employees band together and stop the demolition, underlining the significance of preserving Ghana’s cultural heritage and history.

The Ghana Museums and Monuments Board fully funded the property, with Director Malik Mahmoud Saako stressing that no demolition ruling has been given. Saako accused the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) and the Municipal Assembly of supporting the developer in this illegal act.

The attempted demolition has caused significant worry among residents, as the bungalows hold years of memories. The story comes from Daniel Bampoe and was first published on DailyGuide Network.
