IShowSpeed Calls Asenema Waterfalls Peaceful and Calm

Lifestyle

American streamer IShowSpeed began his visit to Ghana with a tour of Asenema Waterfalls, where he officially started his live stream, describing the location as both peaceful and calm.

In his introduction he said, I wanted to start somewhere peaceful, start somewhere calm. I always say this saying: the calm before the storm.

Asenema Waterfalls is a scenic natural attraction located in the Eastern Region of Ghana, near the community of Asenema in the Okere District, a few kilometres north of Akropong in the Akuapem North Municipal District. It lies at the base of the forested Akuapem Hills.

The waterfall is a plungetype cascade dropping about 15 to 20 metres into a clear, shallow pool, making it ideal for nature lovers, photographers and visitors seeking a quiet retreat. There is a marked trail from the roadside that leads to the falls through lush greenery, bamboo groves and secondary forest.

Access is relatively easy. It is about a 15minute walk from the main road and roughly one and a half hours drive from Accra.

Speeds visit to Ghana goes beyond mere entertainment and documenting his life experiences. It has a significant impact on Ghanas tourism and culture.

The Government of Ghana is looking forward to increasing its tourism revenue beyond the 48 billion dollars recorded in 2024 as it works to boost international arrivals.

The exposure of Asenema Waterfalls provides valuable publicity for the tourist site, which is still not widely known to many Ghanaians. It is expected that more Ghanaians and foreign tourists visit the place to project its fortunes.

IShowSpeed also visited the palace at AkropongAkuapem, where he was given a Ghanaian name, Barima Kofi Akuffo. He later went to Black Star Square in Accra for a supercar session and a jollof tasting session, among other activities.

He also toured the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, took part in boxing activities in Bukom and concluded his tour with a visit to Hammamat Montias Shea Butter Museum in Accra, where he received a traditional farewell message delivered through ten maidens.
